Case Study 3: Automation of Euroclear Reporting

Onsho built and tested an interface between a client mainframe and Euroclear’s Euclid server to automate the receipt, matching and enrichment of trade data for onward reporting.

The development team were successful in delivering a system that resulted in increased performance and efficiency, while reducing the risks associated with a manually supported process.

Case Study 1: Developing excellent software - a typical client scenario

Typically we meet with a client and their key staff making sure that we have a complete understanding of their business and processes. We submit a proposal for their approval and take them through each step of the proposal, providing a complete breakdown of costs and timescales. If they are happy with our proposal we then provide a free of charge "proof of concept". The concept provides confirmation of the interface and structure that will sit behind the business system.

With the final specification agreed development then begins on the new software development. Working closely with a handful of key staff we release updates for the software in real time as they become available. With the final product ready we then train staff . If required we work with the client to import data from any existing software and at this stage we establish a "go live" date.

Case Study 2: Tri-party Repo Automation

Onsho’s team of developers successfully delivered a time-critical bespoke tri-party repo application to process and monitor high volumes of repo trades and handle exchange of cash and securities. This included :

  • Bilateral instruction processing for repo deal creation, cancellation and rolling.
  • Automatic multi-currency on and off leg cash transfers with SWIFT.
  • In-built controls to ensure securities are delivered to the repo buyer and returned to the seller at maturity or early redemption on receipt of cash.
